Light Sensor

Description:
The Light Sensor can be used for measurements of light intensity in a variety of situations. The light sensor uses the silicon photoelectric cell as the inducting component; it can convert the light intensity into a voltage signal, keeping a direct proportion. High-precision photoelectric cell, which contains an ultra-small silicon LED, is located in the sensor. When both points of the phototube add a reverse fixed voltage, the impact of any photon will release electron. When the light intensity is increased, the current of photoelectric cell shows related increases. When current passes through a resistor, the resistor voltage is increased. Enlarge the voltage and deliver it to the collector.

Typical Experiment:
Explore the relevance of light intensity and distance.
Explore the relevance of bulb light intensity and voltage.
Explore the transmission of light for different material.
Explore photosynthesis.
