Sound Sensor

Description:
The Sound Sensor measures sound in decibels (dB) within the range of 40 to 120 dB, and is ideal for measuring environmental noises and room acoustics. There are three amplifying stages in this sensor and it automatically switches between stages, for maximum range and flexibility. The sound sensor uses the electret microphone collection sound signal. It can identify the output sound intensity and audio message. The electret microphone shifts the sound vibration signal into voltage signal, and then output the wave form of vibration by magnifying the circuit. It is used in medical field also as hearing aids are related to sound sensor. To know the depth of sea or water sound sensor is used to record the echo of sound.

Typical Experiment:
Explore the nature of sound.
Explore the relationship between amplitude and loudness.
Analysis of songs, musical instruments, or whistling sound waves.
Listen to the frequency change of acoustic.
Display the relationship between frequency and wavelength.

Specification:
Range: 40db ~ 120db
Resolution: 0.01dB
Precision: 0.01dB
